Revenge of the Son, Part 1

The molten sky of Hyperspace is at times very beautiful, and others, very boring. This is one of those beautiful times. The mission was a personal one, revenge. After many long hours of searching database after database, he has finally come up with the names he needed. So he requested a six-month leave of his Dark Brotherhood House and set out with a few friends on a personal journey.

The black robes of a Dark Jedi Knight are very persuasive to those not used to seeing them. After meeting up with some of his late father's relatives, amassing ships, and choosing the first name on the list, DJK Hades was very ready for what lays ahead. He has been waiting for this time to come for years; his mental preparation for this task was no small feat.

He knew the New Republic, and the Jedi didn't really take his order, or his Brotherhood seriously. The Emperor's Hammer was out on the Outer Rim, secluded from the main stay of the galaxy. Its fleet is mighty indeed, its flagship the last known great Imperial warship in existence, followed closely by the Dark Brotherhood's own Super class Star Destroyer, the Emperor's Hammer is a worthy foe indeed. But to its advantage, the Fleet is not under the NR's most watchful eye. Yes, it is a threat to the NR, but apparently not a large one, not one to keep many ships guarding the boarders as it once did. No, the EH was not a threat at all, or was it?

The ships under his command individually posed no real threat against the NR as a whole, in fact, that was not Hades' plan. His plan was for the revenge of his father's death. The officers in command of that attack, the ones who made the decision to fight. No, he won't blame the fighter pilots, they were only following orders. A quote from a very old source came into his mind, "It's not our job to wonder why, but just to do and die." Or something like that at least. The idea is the same, the privates or the rookies don't question the orders they receive, they just follow them.

No, it was the Admiral in command, the ship captains, and the intelligence officers. They are the ones to blame, they caused his father's death. His father was no threat to them at all, all he wanted was peace. But no, they didn't even ask for him for anything. They just came and took, took his life, and all that Hades held dear. His home and his family, and as it was, his friends. The damn rebels have no idea how many children they killed, no idea at all. But they will, Hades' face will be the last thing those people see before the slip into eternity. Revenge is sweet, but sweeter on a larger scale.

He loved his bridge. The ship was a seemingly old Victory-class Star Destroyer. Built right at the fall of the Old Republic. But old, it was not. The people who took care of this ship did so with a great amount of work. Most of the old systems have been replaced, the shuttle bay was larger, and the weapons and power systems were upgraded. This ship could probably match, or come very close to the power of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer. Yes, he loved his bridge very much

The other ships of his small fleet were not as impressive, but deadly none the same. Some of them have been posing as legit cargo haulers and businessmen for the past two months, after they received word that he was ready to begin this hunt, this quest. Armed freighters were running the legit cargo to and from the people who were on his list. Every once in a while, one of his Modified Corvettes would capture a ship for its cargo and let it loose. Each time gaining more information about his victim. That's the way he thought of them now. They were not men, nor women, nor people. Just beings who had a slow and painful death awaiting them, his lightsaber would ensure that.

All in all, he has about ten capital ships to which he can deal with these beings, one way or another. Hades took a look at his escort ship, the Dreadnaught Raven was also a very powerful ship, having more firepower and speed than you can actually detect. A fine ship, and a perfect escort. Two old ships dating back to the Old Republic, while they are warships in nature, the apparent age made them less of a threat.

As he walked back towards his "office"; just aft of the bridge, he ran a mental checklist in his mind. Soon after, he was looking at the list of names that would soon be no longer. First up, the main person responsible. Admiral Nikkito, reported to be a brilliant strategist and fighter. Heart of steal, we'll see Hades chuckled to himself. Recently retired on mid core world, fairly wealthy, four children. Wife is forty-eight after thirty years of marriage and a self made businesswoman. Not bad, I'm sorry for your loss. Hades grinned to no one. So I lied..

Two more days until his plan is set into full motion. Hiding their hyperspace jumps was hard but manageable, taking great care into looking as though they came from a world allied with the New Republic, the VSD Anarchy made its way into the heart of its greatest foe, all with the ease of a child.
