Clan Possessions
The holdings of Clan Tarentum are focused throughout the Yridia System. Many of the possessions are embedded into the clan's history and new installations appear as the clan continues to grow and prosper.
Castle Tarentum, Yridia II
The central location of Clan Tarentum is Castle Tarentum, a masterpiece of Imperial Engineering that showcases one of the greatest engineering feats known to modern times. The Castle itself has been built a great distance away from the settlements on Yridia II, and remains hidden from the knowledge of most. The Castle is built upon the surface of the planet under the ocean, in one of the more shallow areas, so that some of the top of the Castle is, in fact, above the ocean.
The Castle is both the central location of Tarentum and also the home of House Tridens, and is used by its members, in addition to the Clan Summit, and their retinue. The Castle is rather large complex, designed in the early days of House Tarentum by Master Zero, Maxamillian von Oberst and Erich von Reinthaler. The only known means of entry is through hangar bays for specially converted ships that are required for the underwater voyage to the Castle.
XQ4 Platform Aegis, Yridia II (orbit)
The Xizor Transport Systems XQ4 Platform is a heavy duty platform, serves as a stationary garrison and depot in orbit of Yridia II. Constructed during the Queastorship of Wil Striker, the Aegis is the home base for all of Tarentum's ships, acting as a re-supply depot for all ships, and as a stopping point for passing ships in Clan Tarentum's domain.
Cestus Complex, Koros
Koros is the home of the now inactive House Cestus. The Cestus Complex was constructed in a series of natural, underground tunnels, which lead to a rather large cavern. Portions of the base had been mined out, leading off from the main cavern. The main training grounds of Cestus were on the surface, in a bowl-shaped valley, where the warriors of Cestus honed their skills. The young recruits of Cestus were trained underground, where they were prepared to train in the rigors of the moon's surface when they had attained the proper rank. The base was all but completely destroyed during an outbreak of Draugr which occurred following the Fifth Great Jedi War.
The Sword's Sheath, Itaana Asteroid Belt
Located in the Itaana Asteroid Belt around Yridia IX, The Sword's Sheath serves as the home of House Gladius and has a long history of which few are aware of. Created millennia ago in the era of the Old Republic, the large asteroid base was hidden in the middle of the belt. The asteroid had been also equipped with a very powerful planetary shield and an ancient cloaking device, which were both inoperable prior to the occupation of House Gladius when its founding father, Shadow, had lead the house there. The base had been occupied by pirates prior to their demise at the hands of House Gladius.
Mystics Asylum, Yridia IX
The Asylum of the Mystics of the Black Arts is located in one of the more distant starports, which has actually been abandoned in years past. The story goes that the asylum was used to house Force-sensitives (unknown at the time), who were insane, and had a tendency to affect the minds and bodies of those around them. The patients of the asylum were locked away, but in a most baffling occurrence, somehow escaped years later, and massacred nearly all of the denizens of the starport. Some escaped, and lived to pass on the tale, but whether it is true or not yet remains to be seen. With the disbanding of the Mystics, the Asylum is no longer in use; though it is rumored that the enigmatic Dr. Steiner still resides there.
Yridian Repair Yard, Yridia IX
In addition to fulfilling fleet maintenance roles, the Telgorn Corporation Repair Yard also services (for a fee) the ships of the various smugglers and small-time pirates who might occasion through the system. The yard is defended by a squadron of Tarentum starfighters, as well as a series of unobtrusive but obvious gun emplacements and mines, not to mention its extremely thick hull plating and high powered shield system. The yard is capable of servicing vessels all the way up to Victory Star Destroyer class and size, with some limited ability to service larger ships on a somewhat less capable level. Ample stocks of ammunition and fuel are kept on hand for emergency resupply to Tarentum starships and fighters, as well. This facility maintains a direct subspace link with the XQ4 Aegis closer in-system, to facilitate coordination between cargo and vessel transfers, as well as to warn of any approaches from out of the system.
